Egyptian Tomb Project

Due Date: Tuesday, February 7^th

Two Sided Poster Paper – Paper has been given, but you may wish to purchase a project board.

Side #1:  Draw a “Cross Section” of your Tomb (In Color)

                   (An Example of a cross section is on back of paper)

A.         Create your design (Does not need to be a pyramid.  Be creative! Neatness counts! Use a ruler when needed!

B.         Include all passageways to tomb chambers

C.         Include at least 4 traps for grave robbers (Label traps on poster with an explanation for each)

D.         Include King or Queen Burial Chamber and label.

E.          Include at least 3 special rooms and label each.

Side #2:  Draw the Burial Chamber on other side (In Color)

A.    Draw Sarcophagus (Coffin) with your picture on it.

B.     3 “Egyptian Style” Drawings showing important events in your life or things that you want to accomplish in life.

C.    Draw at least 10 items that you would take with you in your tomb.  Label each item.

When Two-Sided Poster is turned in you will be required to present your project orally to the class.

***EXTRA CREDIT MODEL (not required)***

All students will create a poster.  Those students who want extra credit can also create a model of the tomb designed mounted on cardboard.

A.       Make an actual model of your tomb using whatever materials you choose (Cardboard, poster board, sugar cubes etc…)  Be creative!!!  NO PRE MADE KITS!!!

B.       Model must be made so you can see inside or open it.

C.      Must have detail, but does not need to show everything that your poster design included.
